Even Siri can’t hide the beauty of this harbour — no matter how amateurish I took shots with my iPhone. Really, if you only have a day to spend in Sydney, be sure to stroll through Darling Harbour after checking out Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Best at night too!
My earlier 2 visits here marked this as my fav. Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge may be the top 2 icons of Sydney, but I love the vibe here more. More romantic, in fact. It’s not called Darling for nothing. Very cold when we visited, but still …. we won’t be deprived of our planned al fresco dinner. And my after-dinner gelato!
Nick’s in Cockle Bay Wharf for dinner. My chocolate pleasures and macarons in Lindt’s. I feel spoiled. My eyes feasted on the views while my tummy filled with gustatory delights. On full stomachs, we walked back to Town Hall Station and dropped in on Queen Victoria Building…… Still lovely and regal as ever. Nearly missed the train to snap a photo of this skyline!
Beautiful! We stayed across from Darling Harbour when we honeymooned in Sydney in 2000. It really is a great place to hang out and eat. I’m glad you had a wonderful feast.
